"Sometimes my friends aren't available to chat on WhatsApp, and because I'm such a people person, I thought I'd give Friend Search For WhatsApp a try. I'm glad I did - I've been using it for about 2 years now, and have made many friends (from all over the world, I might add), and several good friends. A lot of people complain about technology, but it can be a very good and helpful thing, and help to broaden your view on the world."

"I was searching for an app that would let me chat with random people on Whatsapp, and I thought that this was going to be a great solution based on the name. Unfortunately, this app generates random phone numbers of people without even getting their consent first. It is not for people who are searching for new friends!"

"I've been looking for a new way to meet friends after graduating college; just making conversations with my co-workers has never felt enough. WhatsFriend on the other hand, lets me connect with people I wouldn't have ever dreamed of meeting. Now I'm chatting regularly with my new pals!"

"How does one add more content onto the least relevant app on the market and market not only the app but the add-on as important? You make it all about having friends. Facebook accomplished what it has by making users want to increase the number of friends they have so they could feel slightly more validated and a little more important. So, for Whatsapp, why not try the same thing. The addition that makes it seem like you will have added functionality tries to take existing functions from your android like chatting with friends (can we say "text message"?) but accomplishes nothing but make this app look more and more like a dating website. Chat with random people? It took only two minutes for me to find out that instead of chatting with a local single girl my age, I was talking with a 14 year old boy down the street with too little homework and not enough video games to play. Wanna talk to random people? Go to a bar."

"I'm always up for meeting new people and this app is great for that! I'm always using my phone and being able to meet and talk with people that share my interests or just wanting to chat with someone from a completely different part of the world is just so easy! Would definitely recommend it to everyone!"

"This application seems like a basic but useful tool for finding groups on whatsapp. I like that the search is world wide. However, one should be cautious when choose which groups to be join. Also, a person should always take measure to protect your individual privacy."

"I didn't like this app that much. It doesn't do anything spectacular. Whatsapp is fine without it."

      "Hi"

    DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that WhatsApp is the number one source for news in numerous countries? Based on a Reuters Institute study, 71,805 respondents from 30 countries have claimed that their major source of news is WhatsApp. Fifty-one percent of the respondents are from Malaysia. On the other hand, only 3% from the United States said that they use WhatsApp to get news.

WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, who were both former Yahoo! employees. Koum got the word "WhatsApp" from the phrase, "what's up" which is widely used as a conversation-starter. Koum also tried to apply for a job on Facebook after leaving Yahoo!, however, he got rejected. Using the $400,000 savings he got from Yahoo!, Koum thought of creating an app for Apple App Store after he purchased an iPhone in 2009. While working on the creation of this app, Koum has taped a note on his desk from the co-founder Brian which reads "No Ads! No Games! No Gimmicks!". This note is their focus and inspiration to create an app that offers a pure messaging experience. The app was successfully released on Apple App Store on February 24, 2009, which is also Koum's birthday. Meanwhile, Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 for $19 billion.
