The site is reputable, safe and secure and my computer has never caught any viruses from downloading any software from this site. The free downloads don't hurt either and if downloads aren't what you're looking for there's always reviews and News articles about apps, software or games you might be thinking about purchasing or downloading. "Although tempting, I don't recommend using Softonic to download Fortnite. I've seen many people from the gaming community have reported the software being embedded with malware, adware, and viruses. Although they claim this isn't true and the game is safe to download, it's better to be safe than sorry. Fortnite is still free from the original copyright holder, Epic Games, so it's better to just download from them. Softonic is just a bit too sketchy to trust, especially with content you can trust from more reputable sources for the same price (free!)"

Before Softonic many of the other sites I used to download free PC games had other attatchements with them that included loads and loads of porn, My wife would constantly have porn popping up on the screen when she was using the computer as you can imagine this caused lots of problems for my marriage.
