"I was a little skeptic about this one but decided to give it a try anyway since I really do get distracted easily, and to my surprise, it actually helped! It's not something like completely dramatic, but I've definitely been getting more things done with this tool, so i must admit it helps you focus!"

"I've been using Word for years and it works well for me when it comes to writing. It does everything I need for publishing articles and blog posts. There are plenty of features and formats to choose from, which is great for me. My only complaint is that it is a bit bloated and can have issues when trying to convert it into other file extensions."

"While Microsoft Word is definitely the premier platform for writing, I'm not sure how well the version for iOS works. You can't really use it without buying Office for Apple which auto renews and has some bugs. This is one of the great shortcomings of iOS and strengths of Windows."

"Nice, simple space to record your thoughts and be able to come back and access or finish them anytime. Sometimes a great idea or thought hits you when you are on the go and it's gone by the time you get to a space to write it down. This solves that problem. You can input it into the app and then continue to work on it later if you want when you get to your regular workspace."

"I am a struggling writer. I don't know why I cannot get published. So now I try this, iA writer. I think it has something to do with apple but it does not, it just helps you with your text editing. But it's super good at that!"

"While I do not doubt that this app could be used for writers, though I do not understand why since it is a text editor, it appears to be geared towards programmers. "Select from over 50 text processing actions to create your own workflows for extending Editorial's feature set. For even more advanced automation, you can write Python scripts with an integrated code and UI editor." Writers don't use Python, as it is a programming language. I'm sorry, but this solution is a terrible one."

"JotterPad has been a joy to use. It has enough tools to streamline my writing without having to wade through a bunch of gimmicky extras. The interface is very easy to read, which is nice, since I frequently use it on smaller devices. It's improved my production speed noticeably, and I don't use anything else any more."

"I think the value of Byword depends on the kind of writer you are. I'd say it is definitely not the best app for writers, that it's very simple given the cost and there are so many more feature filled options available for writers. But for blog writers, I think this might be a decent and possibly good option for them because I know it allows direct publishing."

"Writing Kit is a great tool for writers that need to write in a certain text format since writing in other formats can get wonky. So this is a must for people that need to write in Markdown or Fountain."
