"Although this is a solution, and seems to be a pretty good one, I wish that multiple books were listed. I would want more than one option, even though this book seems promising."

"I have a hard time relating to people who go on and on about the full bodied fruitiness of an oaky glass of tannin or whatever. Not my thing. But I can really get down with my ancestors. So reading about the history of wine and how it came to be what it is today gives me something to discuss at dinner when people start gushing about whatever liquid is being poured around the table. Reading this book makes life with my sommelier husband much easier to bear. I'm sure he appreciates it as well since before I read it I compared every wine I tasted to grape bubblegum."

"The World Atlas of Wine is an essential reference book for those interested in wine. It is highly regarded in the industry and has been hugely successful. It is also a great deal for the price. It covers many regions of the world and has up to date information about all aspects of wine. If you love wine like I do, you'll enjoy it."

"“Wine Folly: The Essential Guide to Wine” by Madeline Puckette is the best guide I never knew I needed. I received it as a birthday gift and I've transformed into a well-rounded aficionado. Learning about the many crucial factors of a good pairing has given me an appreciation for nuance that I’d never been able to detect before. Time to host some dinner parties!"

"If you enjoy serving wine but are not really an expert and need a "go to" source for wine information then A Year of Wine will be a great addition to your library. Want to know what wine to server with what meal or what's the best wine for a certain season? A Year of Wine has it."

"As a wine connoisseur myself, I loved this book. And even for someone like me, it was extremely thought provoking on the topic of wine and I've learned so much more about it. I even took this book to some wine tasting events to show it off. Very useful."

"Someone gave me a copy of Adventures On The Wine Route as a gift and it's one of my favorite books. I love the information and the way the author recounts his experiences through France. I've purchased several more copies and given them to all my wine loving friends and they agree that this is one of the best books about wine."

"I know nothing about wine, but have always wanted to learn. So I was interested in finding a book to gain a little more insight on the subject. I was recommended a book called How to Fake Your Way Through a Wine List. This is the perfect for a wine novice like myself. The book doesn’t get into all the technical terminology and presents a simplistic strategy for selecting a wine whether if at a restaurant or at your local grocery store. My girlfriend has been impressed with my selection in wine ever since I read this book. Highly recommended."
