"It's easy to forget that Amazon even has competitors these days, but Barnes & Noble is still my go-to. I read a lot of novels, and love having bookshelves filled with books. B&N seems to send me coupons all the time, and if you're lucky enough to still have a physical B&N in your area, you can buy online and often go pick up the book to skip the wait on shipping. Great selection as well."

"There are a lot of good books that turned into movies such as Peter Rabbit, Alice and Wonderland, Etc. My all time favorite though is Fantastic Mr. Fox. I loved it as a kid, and now my kids love it. It's great being able to enjoy the books and movies I loved as a kid, with my own kids now."

"Cinderella is a story for every little girl. Growing up poor, Cinderella is subjected to a life of loss and misery as her step mother and step sisters make every moment of her life a nightmare. Washing, mopping, sweeping, and folding are the activities that occupy most of Cinderellas day. Until she meets her fairy godmother who gives her a chance to be a princess for a day. Every little girl deserves the chance to be a princess. This is by far the best children's book to become a movie and is certainly the most classic,"

"Charlotte's Web is an all-time classic and one of my favorite books to read as a child. It was turned into a film about a decade ago and so that makes this one story of the best children's books that turned into a movie. E.B. White writes a timeless tale that is sure to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike."

"I wanted to read a good children's book that turned into a movie and found The Secret Garden (Children's Classics). This book is a classic and the movie was also very good. The story is well written, and it captivated both myself and my children. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking into this genre."

"A sign of a truly classic story is one that can cross the boundaries of different types of media and still maintain the magic of the original. Little Red Riding-Hood is easily one of my favorite stories. I love the idea of this young girl stand up to such an intimidating force."

"The Magician's Nephew is one of the weaker entries in The Chronicles of Narnia series. I don't think the action and plot is as well-paced, and some of the mythologies don't quite make sense to me. I like some of the character development, but overall all like most of the other Narnia books better."

"I loved reading these books to my daughter at night. We started when she was quite young, in part because we showed her an early adaptation of this book (it was on the BBC). So sweet! She grew up with that and then saw the most recent Hollywood adaptation. These books are still on her shelf (she's a teenager) and she loves them. I remember them from my own childhood, of course, so I hope that she passes them down to her children. The series is truly one of the best out there for kids."

"For being written by someone who chose working instead of going to college, this book would make a wonderful university text comprising subjects as human relations, manufacturing processes, logic, astronomy and, obviously, economics. The ride within the factory feels like an exploration of a new, unknown universe accessible through the black hole of an entry ticket. I personally felt a virtuous circle from this book: It helped me appreciate the Tim Burton movie, and the movie helped me appreciate the book more."
