Visual Studio Cloud Based Load Testing

Free - (Small Teams). Varies by plan.

    Ryan Contreras
"As a busy computer programmer, app developer, and project manager I am busy 24/7. After switching to Microsoft's Cloud Based Load Testing, I have been able to increase the scalability and network potential of my applications. Our company went from generating hundreds of thousands of dollars each month to millions of dollars each month. Without this software, I would still be stuck in the stone age. Cloud Based Load Testing is the future!"

"You spend a lot of time and money creating and designing the perfect website for your business, and the last thing you need is for it to go down when you need it most. This site helps you test your site for your heaviest traffic days, and helps you secure your site so you know you are going to be able to handle the load."

    Flood IO

Free - month. Varies by plan. Free trial available.

    Barbara Payne
"Flood IO was a great solution for me, because it allowed me to run servers in multiple regions. This allowed me the expansion I really needed to scale my business. I was hesitant, but seeing how many other companies had used Flood IO successfully made me want to try it."

"I needed something to load into the cloud to stress test for my new App. While I'm a fairly good developer, I really didn't want to spend months of my time developing this part of it. Thankfully Loader fits the bill perfectly, and does all the cloud testing that you could possibly need."

    HPE StormRunner Load

$0.15 - (per virtual user/hour). Free trial available.

"We've been using StormRunner for two months, and so far it seems to do the job for load testing. It does take some time to get a handle on how to use it though. It is best to take some time at the start to figure out how to do things right. I'm pretty optimistic that we will be sticking with it at this point though."

$99 - month. Varies by plan. Free trial available.

"I think this helps as i would see it beneficial as it could compare multiple sources. Including the cloud load tester i used it to compare it against others to ensure it gave optimum performance."

"This company allows you to upload your tests and have workers check them from around the world. There a thousand of people willing to work your tests while you monitor them from your computer. It's an easy to use system, that has a step by step instructor to help make sure your experience is successful."

    Soasta ClodTest

Free - (Lite). Varies by plan.

    Gregory Carlson
"This solution is not extremely in depth, and it leaves a lot of questions in my mind on what exactly the solution is. Also, the topic is not mentioned in the solution at all, so I'm not sure how relevant the solution is to the topic. I think this solution needs more information."

    Redline13 Free load Testing

$50 - month. Varies by plan. Free trial available.

    Amanda Snyder
"RedLine13 is an incredibly useful website. It's not a free cloud load tester, but given that can get very expensive, it's nice that it is low cost for those of us who are looking to test things out that don't have large budgets. Hard to say if it's one of the best in general, but I can safely say it's among the best of the low cost cloud load testers."

"Browsera tests and reports cross-browser layout differences and scripting errors on websites. There are likely better options available for cloud load testing."

"I think this would be useful for editors. This is definitely creative. Although it's not fully featured, there's people that will possibly benefit from it and just want to try it out."

"This is not a load tester, but a development environment. If you want to edit programs online or work on some code in the browser, browxy is a good option, but it doesn't really do load testing or anything like that."

    Visual Studio Online

"Visual Studio Online is a great cloud load tester. They have a free edition so you can test it out and there are great tools to use to make your computing life easier."

"As a programmer I've found CodeTasty to be pretty revolutionary. I find myself being able to finish projects and continue working basically anywhere I go. What more can you ask for than to be able to code anywhere through the powerful IDE in the cloud. It has all the features of the desktop IDE but now I can work on any device by just pulling it up from there. It's fairly smooth in operations and my work is saved right there. Ready for the next session and time I'm ready to work again."

"I don't agree that this is the best cloud load tester, the best that you should look at are Webload, Appache J Meter, and Locust."

"This is a fairly basic code editor. It has most of the functions that you would want but I found myself wishing there were a few more that you can get with more robust editors. A positive for Neutron Drive is that you can use the editor from any computer since it's cloud based. In the end it won't make me switch from my current code editor."

"I wanted a cloud-based program to aid me in my web development efforts, and I stumbled across this via a random Google search. I went with the free version, and found the tool to be so unwieldy and buggy, that it made web development a lot harder than it would have been without it. I can't express how much I disliked using it, and how glad I was to uninstall the thing. Maybe the paid versions are better."

"What a great tool for develpers. All the usual software in one place and I was happy that I was able to try it out for free so I could decide if it was something I wanted to use. This program seems awesome so far. The price for montly service is a little pricey but it's worth it for sure."
