"I love to play the video games and this one is about war so there is much action to be had. The name of it is the Total War: Arena and it is soo good! You can even play it for free, online with other people that are also online. It is a war simulation game and boy is it a fun one, you should play too!"

"This app is an interesting idea. but the execution has some flaws. For one thing, the graphics move too slowly. Also, the instructions could have been stated more clearly and concisely."

"If you've ever wanted to learn how to fly a helicopter or other aircraft, you could try Microsoft's Flight Simulator X. It is available on Steam and is a pretty reasonable price. It's one of the best games I've seen that has a truly realistic aspect to it. You can select from over 24,000 different airports to fly from and go all across the world. It is truly unique."

"If you enjoy flight simulators, and especially helicopter simulators, I recommend DCS: UH-1H Huey. It is a simulator in every sense of the word, it provides a very realistic helicopter flying experience from your own chair at home! This simulator allows you to take any flying position of the helicopter, including gunners. Realistic flying, and weapons systems are just the surface of a great simulator that you can get lost in for hours."

    WHAT’S THE MEANING

A simulation video game is an umbrella term for the bigger category of video-games that are designed and developed to closely ‘simulate’ real world activities. In general, players in simulation games are free to control everything found in the environment. These seemingly real-world activities are all part of the process which game developers want the players to experience.

    DID YOU KNOW

Did you know that a school-shooting simulation video game has been pulled out from Steam after it has received flaks from the parents of the victims of the Parkland shooting incident? According to The Independent, a British online newspaper, an online petition that garnered 200, 000 signatures has taken down the action game. Although experts from the American Psychological Association take a firm resistance against ‘violent’ video games, Whitney DeCamp has debunked the significant link between playing video games and aggressive behavior. Results of the study he conducted in Delaware School revealed that regardless how violent or atrocious the video game is, it did not automatically predict violent behavior. Associate professor of the Department of Psychology at Stetson University attests to DeCamp’s finding. He added that violent video games may help lessen societal and domestic violence. At the end of the day, American Psychological Association leaves the primary responsibilities to parents as they can help regulate the video consumption of their children. Amidst the issues surrounding violent games, simulation games in general, especially those that enhance the learning experiences of children are slowly transforming the academic diaspora.

"As an aviation fanatic, being able to fly helicopters in really satisfying to me. When I came across DCS: Black Shark 2, I knew I hit the jackpot on what I was looking for. It does a great job simulating realism as well as showing minor details like realistic damage. Highly recommend checking this out!"

"I am a huge gamer, especially on the PC. I am also somewhat of a military nerd. So when I came across Arma 3 on Steam, I knew I had to get it. It is a fantastic game that simulates real-life military situations. Furthermore, you can fly vehicles such as helicopters in it with real-life style physics. It's a great game and a lot of fun to play!"

"I love flight sims and there aren't too many of them around anymore. Helicopter sims are even harder to find. I came across Enemy Engaged: Comanche vs Hokum and have been playing it every day now. With its low price and playability, it's a must have combat flight sim."

"Enemy Engaged: Apache vs. Havoc is the first game in the Enemy Engaged series developed by Razorworks. Released in 1998, the game is a helicopter flight simulator that allows the player to take control of either the US AH64D Apache Longbow or the Russian Mil-28N Havoc B attack helicopter and engage in combat. The DRM-free re-release on GOG should be able to run well on modern Windows systems."

"Lifelong gamer, flight sim fan. The longbow series is a fantastic way to experience the thrill of helicopter combat and longbow 2 doesn't disappoint. While the graphics are dated, the sense of realism and control you get is unparalleled. I highly recommend this for anyone with a flight stick and a yearning for some helicopter combat action."

"Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated with aviation. I thought that it would be fun to see if simulators exist to fly planes and helicopters, without having to go do a real airport. Let me tell you, they exist! X-Plane 11 does a great job getting you behind the joystick of a helicopter (as well as planes!), and produces excitement as I learn to fly."
