"I love the Co-Op aspect in this Resident Evil. It's a bit different from the rest of the series, and it really holds up years later."

"I like to play the darkest games possible, and survival games are my favorite. I've been looking for a new RPG as my last one kind of grew stale after years of loyal playing. Recently, a friend recommended Darkwood to me. It's one of the scariest games I've ever played. It definitely fills that niche of survival horror."

"This game will be a big hit and I can see myself giving it as a gift to a young male. I'm not really sure that this is completely original as there are several survival zombie themed games on the market but this one looks like fun. My grandson will love this game."

"State of Decay is a fantastic Zombies game available on Steam that delivers intense action and beautiful environments. It's an open-world survival game that gives player many hours of fun for raiding, crafting, and surviving against the infectious horde."

"This game was a lot of fun when it first came out. But in the past month or so the game has almost become unplayable. You get chased by NPC which are cheating because they know your location even far far away. The multi-player which is what I was looking forward to was very clunky and poorly designed."

"I was looking for a good Horror Survival games on Steam and found 7 Days to Die filled that void. I find the horror genre in gaming to be very exciting and this joint did disappoint."

"Project Zomboid is a fun third-person sandbox approach to the Zombie Survival genre. I struggled with the game at first because I tried to loot the biggest caches - noob mistake. You need to level up and gain weapon skills in order to successfully find bigger caches of weapons and supplies. I liked the realism of needing to find basic supplies and sleep. I also liked the AI, which was predictable but fun."

"I love the pace of the The Forest. The game involves a nice mix of grinding - e.g., building a hut - and horror - e.g., defending against the mutant cannibals. I got hooked on the storyline, which exposes you to the culture of the cannibals."

I've been interested in giving myself a little scare lately and wanted to use Steam to find a fun horror survival game. Friday the 13th: The Game is perfect for that desire as it provides an excellent mix of fearful intensity and terrifying survival gameplay. This is a great horror survival game on Steam!"

"I played and liked the original Resident Evil. (It's the only horror-survival game I've ever played.) This remastered version looks like it has higher definition and it has costume packs that the original didn't."

"Metro as a game is great, but as a horror game? Not so much. You'd want Outlast for that, if you can handle the whole asylum stick. MEtro relies too much on resource management and horrible story choices that make it feel like a sci-fi instead of a horror. Not bad, but not great."

"I wanted a thriller to play and decided to give this one a look. The game play is very fluid and the graphics are awesome! I was terrified most of the time I was playing and my nerves are still a jangled mess. I totally think this game will give me nightmares, but I had a blast playing it."

"Corpse Party is a 2D animation style Indie RPG that is set in an elementary school. You take the role of students trying to solve a murder mystery. Based on the original 1996 16-bit version, the game is true to its origin."

"Alien Isolation is amazing; the AI is revolutionary and the atmosphere is unique. I've just never played anything quite like it, it feels more or less exactly like you'd expect running and hiding from a violent alien in real life."

"An award winning single player game that lets me play the protagonist, Daniel, through a series of scary adventures and puzzles. Easy to download and update via the Steam environment. Whenever I feel the need to get my heart pounding with fear this is my first choice."
