"This has been such a godsend for my friends and I. The app is so easy to use, and it makes having conversations with multiple people at once so easy. I am overseas right now, but with WhatsApp it's like I never left. I get messages from them throughout the day, it's like a continuing conversation."

"Who doesn't have facebook nowadays?! And who doesn't use social platforms and apps to communicate with their friends?! Then having Facebook Messenger in your phone is not a choice but a necessity: it's the quickest and easiest way to chat with your facebook friends and to share pictures and videos with them. A must have!"

"I like Google Hangouts as a messaging app because I'm boycotting Facebook. Google Hangouts is a good alternative and integrates with all your google stuff like gmail. I would definitely recommend google hangouts to my friends as an alternative to all the other messaging apps out there."

"OMG I love me some Google Allo. With Hangouts, it was hard to know who was trying to get ahold of me sometimes. The Allo feature of having the person who is calling me onscreen before they can see me has kept a few creepers out of my life. This alone is worth the app's code weight in gold. Thanks Google, great feature!!!"

"Never really been a fan of this program, but decided to give it another try. I see the point and its fun for those who enjoy selfies and sharing their "story", but I do not feel the need to communicate to others through pictures. I do enjoy keeping up with my favorite MMA fighters though; its nice to get a peak into their lives. I'd say this app is great for keeping an eye on the lives of your favorite celebrities, but not really a fan of the messaging portion of it."

"Talkatone is a great app. I can call and text without a cell plan. I have wifi at home and at work and it uses that to make your calls/texts. And most everywhere you go now days there is free wifi. I can also use my tablet as a phone. Win Win!"

"There are a lot of apps out there claiming that this app will provide a secure communication experience and increase your privacy, blah, blah, blah. Well, the issue is for these apps to even begin to be even remotely "secure" all the people you communicate with are going to have to use this SAME app!! Good luck trying to convince all of your friends in downloading an app to just communicate with you (for starters). Second, you don't really know who this company is - and if all your messages are going to go through this app FIRST - you have to do some configuring to allow these permissions (which means you'll typically have to undo these permissions should you want out of this app). Lastly, as we have seen with recent outbreaks from WikiLeaks - the CIA has nothing better to do than just sit around and try to hack anything and everything and snoop on everyone - even us who are clearly not spies and we are talking about having gall bladder surgery. Since the release from WikiLeaks - the CIA had hacked Signal (a similar app just like Wire) and other similar apps so in reality NOTHING was kept secret at all."

"This is a secure texting and communication app. I started using it a few months ago and I really like it. It allows encrypted calling, texting, and file sharing, which surprised me. I was only looking for this to be a messaging app, but it is much more. I have recommended it to a few friends and family members; now we are all messaging securely!"

"Voxer had literally everything I would ever want in a messaging app. I use it as a Walkie Talkie, but also in order to send regular messages and pictures. It's the perfect app for messaging and has all kinds of features that anyone could enjoy. I would definitely recommend it."

"This is a great all in one solution for Encryption. With this, nobody will ever see who you're calling. I use this when calling everyone. No delays or lag! The end to end encryption is awesome!"

"My group of golf buddies needed a way to talk about when we were going to play. One of my friends has an Andriod phone so we could only have 10 people in a Apple Messages chat. We came to a consensus that we needed something else to chat. I decided, as I had used it before, to have everyone download GroupMe. Problem solved."

"At this point I think if you aren't already on Facebook you probably will never get on it. That being said I think it is fine for connecting with friends but I really don't use it all that much. Most people are on it so it is the one to use if you are interested. Too many ads in my opinion and for me it has pretty much run its course."

"Ah twitter so much negative things can be said in a 140 characters or less. Twitter is an awesome messaging app. It allows you to connect to not just people you know but to other around the world and in real time. It makes you think just how connected we truly are now."

"This sin't bad. A pretty decent way to chat. I'm not overwhelmed or anything, but I'm not mad. Total middle of the road program, nothing to write home about, but if I did, I'd use this program."

"If you have a business and want it to be successful, it makes all the sense in the world to be this available to your customers. People use the personal version of WhatsApp to stay in contact with their friends - which is fine - but this app becomes a real money-maker when every customer is treated like an intimate friend with whom you are always willing to communicate. Every business should add this app to their presence on social media."

"I used this for a short while and managed to meet some "interesting" people. Depending on what you're looking for in an online community, this may be a good for you. I kept it for about a week before moving on. Keep in mind the mature rating. Hide yo children before logging in."
