"If you are looking for a video editing software then you can't go wrong with Adobe Premiere. Use is based on a subscription model so you only need to pay for the time you plan on using it. If you decide that you want to take it for a test spin, you don't have to commit to buying a few hundred dollar program. One of the most powerful and well known editing software to date."

"Vegas Pro is expensive, but it's totally worth it! It's helped me create videos and short films that look professional and look like high quality material produced in a studio. Even if I have shaky footage that is not top quality, this software can repair it and make it look smooth and professional. It's totally worth the investment!"

"I have just started learning vfx. My success depends on finding the right tools including non-linear editors. So far, Hitfilm Express seems pretty helpful. It has all of the functions I have needed so far and the presets are what has really helped me get going on my project. This is free software that works on Mac and Windows."
