WHAT’S THE MEANING

In the parlance of massively multiplayer online video games, Player versus Player (widely known as PvP) is an interactive type of game between two or more live participants. It designed for gamers from all over the world to compete against other gamers. Another thing to know is the concept of AI or Artificial Intelligence, which are computer-generated non-player characters with human-like intelligence.

Player Killing (also know as PKing) is an unrestricted mode of PvP resulting in a character’s death. In this setting, one player can attack another without any prior notice in the game world. However, this may result in ‘ganking’, in which the killer, together with his teammates, attack a ‘helpless’ player. Dueling, on the other hand, is the opposite of Pking, for it is both voluntary and competitive. Duels involve rules and a formal system on how to go about the PvP game. However, they still have the same goal of knocking out the player. The growing popularity of action PvP games has reached the realm of e-Sports. As a matter of fact, the action game genre lands on the second place in the most played genres in the United States in 2017.
