"I was looking for new groups to chat with online, and I found We WhatsApp. Specifically, i was looking for groups of people to chat with about sports and entertainment, and both groups can be found on We WhatsApp. I just started chatting on We WhatsApp, and it seems interesting since their are several groups to chat with for sports and entertainment."

"I was recently just getting started on Whatsapp and didn't really know what to do or where to go. Once I found this site, it made the process a whole lot easier. Now I have a convenient and easily searchable list of Whatsapp groups to join."

Did you know that WhatsApp is the number one source for news in numerous countries? Based on a Reuters Institute study, 71,805 respondents from 30 countries have claimed that their major source of news is WhatsApp. Fifty-one percent of the respondents are from Malaysia. On the other hand, only 3% from the United States said that they use WhatsApp to get news.

WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan Koum, who were both former Yahoo! employees. Koum got the word "WhatsApp" from the phrase, "what's up" which is widely used as a conversation-starter. Koum also tried to apply for a job on Facebook after leaving Yahoo!, however, he got rejected. Using the $400,000 savings he got from Yahoo!, Koum thought of creating an app for Apple App Store after he purchased an iPhone in 2009. While working on the creation of this app, Koum has taped a note on his desk from the co-founder Brian which reads "No Ads! No Games! No Gimmicks!". This note is their focus and inspiration to create an app that offers a pure messaging experience. The app was successfully released on Apple App Store on February 24, 2009, which is also Koum's birthday. Meanwhile, Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 for $19 billion.

"The website gives you ways to obtain a phone number to chat with someone in the USA and has articles on other countries too. While the premise seems interesting, you will end up randomly guessing phone numbers which isn't a good way to find someone to chat with."

"I couldn't find the right people to chat with until I followed the recommended steps. I was bored so I tried each of them step by step. I started getting some numbers through facebook. The apps helped me find even more people. Last, and certainly not least, I tried out Meetic. This really opened up my possibilities. Since following all of these steps, I have had an abundance of options for chatting with random people on WhatsApp."

"To chat with random people online first you will need to provide a good photo of yourself so that people know who they are talking to, as no one wants to talk to someone they cannot see first. Then look for people to talk to at strange hours. Since most people are asleep in the middle of the night, some people who are awake and cannot sleep are lonely and would be interested in talking to someone. Pick late night times when people are bored and it's too late to leave the house and there is nothing else to do. This is the best way to find random people to talk with you. This is what i have found to work the best in meeting new people."

"Every social media app has the same difficulty, finding useful material. After I found this one site I was able to make a number of useful connections in Whatsapp beyond what I could find using its own interface. This site is indispensable for Whatsapp users. Whatsapp should consider buying the site and incorporating it into the app itself."

"Sometimes my friends aren't available to chat on WhatsApp, and because I'm such a people person, I thought I'd give Friend Search For WhatsApp a try. I'm glad I did - I've been using it for about 2 years now, and have made many friends (from all over the world, I might add), and several good friends. A lot of people complain about technology, but it can be a very good and helpful thing, and help to broaden your view on the world."

"Ha ha, although this may be a good premise I really do not think I would "like" this page or ask to join. I have enough people on my Facebook page with out adding the world. I guess if you are bored......."

"How does one add more content onto the least relevant app on the market and market not only the app but the add-on as important? You make it all about having friends. Facebook accomplished what it has by making users want to increase the number of friends they have so they could feel slightly more validated and a little more important. So, for Whatsapp, why not try the same thing. The addition that makes it seem like you will have added functionality tries to take existing functions from your android like chatting with friends (can we say "text message"?) but accomplishes nothing but make this app look more and more like a dating website. Chat with random people? It took only two minutes for me to find out that instead of chatting with a local single girl my age, I was talking with a 14 year old boy down the street with too little homework and not enough video games to play. Wanna talk to random people? Go to a bar."

"This application seems like a basic but useful tool for finding groups on whatsapp. I like that the search is world wide. However, one should be cautious when choose which groups to be join. Also, a person should always take measure to protect your individual privacy."
