"SelfControl helps me resist that urge to check my social media while trying to get work done. It's a simple solution because even if you open a new tab and absentminded-ly go to a forbidden site, it blocks it. I can now focus on the things I need done, if only for a little while."

"Some productivity apps block you from accessing your favorite sites. This one can do that too, but more importantly it tracks how you use your time on the internet, and gives you a helpful portrait of your daily and weekly habits online."

"I can clearly vouch for "Focus" when it comes to doing any kind of work, be it school or professional when you absolutely need to focus on the task at hand. Focus basically is a lock that prevents you from going to certain blocked websites while you are in work mode, preventing you from letting your mind wander to another place."

"I write for a living and needed to find a way to keep writing even when I feel like I have writers block. I tried the Focus Writer and while I found it alright I need not think it had much benefit over the programs I normally use. I could see this being a good program for some people esppecialy if you don't want to by a fancy writing program, but I will stick with what I already have."

"I downloaded Freedom so that I would be forced to avoid distractions on my phone. I like that it works on my ipad and computer too, since those can be distracting when I need to work as well."

"If you are like me, you can have difficulty staying on task. The Go For It program allows me to create a to-do list for my day and then check off the tasks as I complete them. I can even set a timer for myself to ensure that I complete the work within a reasonable amount of time. This has been a great tool for my productivity!"

"If you're anything like me, you want to meditate, but just don't know how or where to start! With the Buddhify app, that is no longer a problem. It shows me exactly how to get the most out of meditation and helps me to figure out what I hope to achieve by doing it. The app is easy to use and contains various types of meditations. There are short tracks, long ones and timers to help guide you to meditate better."

"We face distractions everyone, it could be the facebook post or a message on the phone, we are always bombarded with information asking for our attention. I wanted something to help me calm down and focus on the important things. Mindly was the answer for me. It says it helps to organize your inner universe. I could not agree more. I perform better with a calmer mind after using this for about 3 months now."

"Daniel Goleman's book changed my life. I had always lacked focus when it came to anything, but this book helped me get things in order. If you implement what you read here, it will pay dividends, just as it did for me."

"As a poker professional, it can be difficult to know when to stop and take a break, due to the rhythm I often find myself in. The Brain Focus Productivity Timer lets me keep track of how long I've been working for, as well as what tasks I've accomplished and what else I need to do. It has helped me with my productivity, as I don't feel bad taking a break since I know how much I've done during the work timings. I can adjust the work and break times as well to match my personal needs."

"I've always wanted to own my own business, but lacked the courage and discipline to do so. But I was completely miserable in my retail job. So, on whim, I bought this book. It was the best choice I've could have made for myself. It inspired me to start my dream of opening up a custom cake and cupcake shop! It's going really well, and I fear if not for this book I would have never took the plunge to open my store."

"I use this app to monitor employees on my team. It's a good way to track that information for when I have to give annual reviews. The dashboard is steamlined and easy to use at a glance."
