"Being a serious movie enthusiast, but also being suspicious of movie reviews by websites such as Metacritic because of the possibility of bias, I found my visit to the site quite enjoyable. It offers many options for exploring the world of movies and other media. Though I still have my own strong opinions, it is nice to have input from Metacritic when searching for new releases and deciding on the next movie to watch."

"Film Affinity is different from the website "A Good Movie To Watch". On the front page I see poster images of featured films. I see this website being more popular for figuring out what movies I would like to see in the theatres. The website is broken down more like an encyclopedia of films rather than movies suggested to watch. Clicking on a movie poster, you get breakdowns of the film such as year, category and a brief synopsis."

"Looking for a great way to find new movies quickly and free? Well, IMDb Movies & TV app is certainly the way to do it! The app is free, really easy to use and understand, certainly is a time saver for me and my family!"

"Ever since Jinni.com closed, I've been looking for a website that offered a similar interface for browsing movies. I'm happy to say that this might just be the replacement I've been looking for. Being able to filter by subscription service is an absolute essential for any movie recommendation site. Unfortunately, it seems like there are some big problems and missing features. For example, clicking the "mood " filter at the bottom of the page takes me to the selection of Hulu movies. Also, it doesn't seem to be possible to use multiple filters at the same time."

"If you are bored on a Friday night, go no further. This website will give you all you need to stay informed. You can type in a date range and get movies from your favorite era. As well, you can search your favorite genre. You'll never be bored again on a Friday night. The options are wide and incredible with variety. I highly recommend the site."

"I mostly take any movie rating site with a grain of salt but this one is pretty good. Not only do they give you the critics but also what actual movie goers think of the film. I still take it with a grain of salt but it's actually right on quite a bit."

"While I wouldn't necessarily recommend this service for discovering 'new' movies, as in freshly-released titles, I do think it's an interesting way to discover 'new to you' films. This is an archive resource so the films available tend to be very historic, dating back to the 30s and 40s. However, I would reckon that some of the films made back then rival, if not supersede, the trash that comes out currently. I, myself, have used the archive to rediscover several films and to marvel at the wonders of old-time cinematography."

"Last weekend I had friends over to eat food and watch Netflix. With so many people it's hard to decide what to watch. We made a game of it and used Flix Roulette to see what it would recommend. That way no one felt over ruled, like how things turn out when we put it to a vote."

"I enjoy watching movies, have a good knowledge of what I like, and trust my own research and judgment when making movie choices. If I desire the opinions and recommendations of someone else, such as this site, I would be pretty desperate, though I would be tempted to try it a few times just to see what selections are made for me. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised, though the site doesn't inspire confidence."

"This was a great suggestion! I love that I can put in any genre and get a suggestion based on that. It's really nice to get more information about the movie too, especially the option to watch a trailer. Thank you."

"Starz is one of my favorite premium TV channels. It's the one that consistently has the movies I want to watch (many other channels do not). They've also started making their own series; I haven't checked these out yet, but I'll be sure to since I know STARZ puts out quality entertainment."

"MUBI has some great suggestions when it comes to finding new movies. Often the movies are underground or harder to find but are always high quality! I would highly recommend checking it out."

"The link suggested is only useful if you want to watch Bollywood junk. Try Putlocker are even Netflix to search for movies. Both of those sites include some Bollywood stuff but have way more genre's to pick from."

"This article is the key to success if you are looking to find all the movies from old to new that you need to watch! I scrolled through and wrote down over half of the list to get me started. Marie Claire always has great writes and this one was super helpful to give me advice on all of the movies I want to see!"

"A decent site for catching up on TV listings available online. Not nearly as useful for finding movies, though. Might be worth your time to check it out, but there's better sources out there, overall."

"When I was a kid, we had to go to the theatre to see what was playing, or even pick up a newspaper. Now, with Decider, I can find out what's new and good to see, without leaving my laptop! I've found Decider works best when read concurrently while engaging in my morning constitutional."

"This app has saved me so many times from a bad movie. Just having the ability to watch trailers for the movies is something that I wish Netflix would add to their native system. Until they do, this is the app to use!"

"This is sort of a trinket thing, a really narrow application, but it does do what it says it does. You can plug in terms like actors or directors, or scroll through genres, and it's definitely much easier to use than the default Netflix interface. But it wants a lot of permissions that it doesn't seem to need, so I'm pretty sure they're racking up a lot of data they're going to do something else with. Anyone who knows how to use Google or IMDB in the first place doesn't really need this thing, unless they're lazy or want a pretty interface."

"I needed the best resources for discovering new movies. I learned about Oscars.org, the official site of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Its easy and fun to learn about the 6,000 most accomplished people that have worked in cinema. I like it a lot."

"I don't know if I'll keep my subscription to this. They do offer a lot of movies but not many movies that I've wanted to watch. They don't have a lot of the newer movies, which is disappointing."
