"Guitar chords and tabs was a pretty decent resource for learning some guitar chords. The chord diagrams were useful, and I liked that there were different variations for each chord. I also liked that it has offline access and autoscroll. There's a transposing tool as well. Good for learning, and also good as a quick reference whenever you need it."

"I feel like this is okay and only good if you want to learn things teh easy way, it doesn't actually give you any chords but instead tabs which is just what strings and fret to play."

"A great resource with video lessons for learning guitar. Unfortunately, however, the lessons are song specific rather than learning the basics of playing guitar and doesn't lay a groundwork to learn on your own."

"I no longer play guitar, but if I did, I would definitely use Utab to learn popular songs and tune my guitar. Utab goes above and beyond to help users learn how to play popular songs. The tab and lyric play-along videos are the best that I've seen, and are very simple to understand. The layout of the website in general is also immaculate."

"I'm an aspiring musician and needed to aquire some guitar skills in order to get to the place I wanted to be in a band or just play for myself. Using fretjam was honestly the best thing I have done to learn what I needed to know. Now I'm playing like a pro!"

"It has helped me learn how to play a guitar on a device that is on me at all times (my smartphone). It is also very practical since the fret board resembles that of a real guitar making learning how to play using this app much more practical."

"I find this to be a nice channel overall. If you are a beginner, like never touched a guitar lesson, then it is a bit overwhelming to go through all the videos. There should be more organization and more playlists considering the amount of videos on the channel."

"Guitar pro has been great for me trying to learn guitar chords. I remember having to print out chords and just not being able to read them because they didn't look proper. Now with Guitar pro, you have a piece of software with note break downs, shows the actually guitar, and where to place your fingers at. The product has taken my skill level from beginner to intermediate in no time."

"This guide is a great foundation to build off of when you begin to learn guitar. Once you read over the materials and begin to get an understanding it is so much easier to just pick up the guitar and experiment with the chords until you are able to find a rhythm and practice learning songs."

"Picture chords are the fastest way for me to learn and memorize guitar chords, so this was very useful for me. It wasn't that convenient for learning, because I had to flip through all the pages, but as a resource it's good to be able to look up anything I needed to."

"I bought this book to reinvigorate my STUDY of guitar rather than just NOODLING on guitar. AS such it's proven to be an excellent tutorial on guitar chords, how they're formed, how they're used and how they're played. it was very helpful and now i have learned so much about playing guitar"

"This is a great program! I recently bought my first acoustic guitar and after doing extensive research, I decided to go with this course. - Its so easy, you pick the cords and tempo you want and it shows you EXACTLY where to put your fingers to get that sound that you want. Its also free, which is a HUGE bonus for someone who is just starting out like myself."

"I would consider myself as an intermediate skilled guitar player, I was skeptical with Whole Note, thinking that it was just for novice players. I couldn't have been any more wrong, they have multiple levels and they teach you everything from the basic to the most advance cords I've ever played. The site is very interactive and the videos are of high quality."

"As a beginner guitar player I've been looking for a one stop for all the good (and easier) acoustic songs to learn. This Kindle edition has that and then some and is a great way to learn all the classics, my friends have been impressed with my progress and couldn't have done it without this download."

"I was looking for a reference app to help me learn guitar chords. My husband plays and he wanted me to learn so we could play together. i picked this app mostly because of the good reviews, and it is definitely a solid app. I love that i can playback the chord so if I'm not sure about the sound i can compare. it freezes sometimes when i skip but not often enough to make the app unusable. you can play acoustic, electric, and classic guitar."

"This is such an awesome resource for guitar beginners! Thanks to my parents, I took *years* of piano lessons back in the day. So I didn't really want to spend any money on learning the guitar. And besides, aren't all the best musicians self taught? I found Learn Guitar Chords to be a great start. I'm already practicing chords and I feel like I'm not picking up any bad habits. Thanks for a great site!"

"This was an interesting concept in learning how to play the guitar. I never thought I could get specific and detailed instruction on how to play until seeing this type of website. It gives step by step direction, including what sound each strings makes, and where to place your hands on the guitar."

"What I liked about it that this is a detailed guide which covers all the basics and each subtopic in detail. You not only get to learn how to play the basic chords. It also covers which chords to play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass guitar separately. Images and videos are also helpful in the article."

"The book 7 Keys to Becoming a Better Guitar Player does not really work for learning guitar chords if you do not have prior experience. It is a good resource if you are learning to play guitar through other means and use this book to compliment your training. It did help me learn how to change chords faster."

"I started lessons two years ago as a beginner with an acoustic guitar. I had never previously had any exposure to musical instruments. I get 30 minutes a week with my teacher (who is fabulous) but he throws a lot of information at me and I don't always immediately grasp what he is saying or demonstrating. This book has been a godsend in that it very comprehensive and explains chords, scales, and music theory concepts in an easy to understand manner. The illustrations are clear and extremely helpful. I find that I use the manual constantly to reinforce or clarify my learning and it has - along with a lot of practice! - helped me steadily progress as an aspiring musician. If you are already an accomplished player, you may find this to be redundant of what you know, but for me it has been extremely helpful."

"When searching for a resource to learn guitar I am not sure this fits with my expectations. This book while having good reviews and a good price point indicates that it is for mastery level guitarists and would not be a learning tool for beginners. So I feel this search would only be applicable for someone that already knew how to play the guitar well."

"I think this would be an excellent resource for learning guitar. When you start out you want to play slowly, so this help a guitar learner start at their own rate. A cool feature of this application is that you can upload your own mp3s, so you can learn to play guitar with your favorite songs. This application seems reliable and of high quality."

"I have found that Chord! is a terrific app for learning guitar chords (or chords of any fretted instrument). You don't need to know ANYTHING about music theory or even need to know what a chord is, you just need this app. I found that the app adjusts to my low, but growing, level of expertise in playing the guitar. It is an amazing app that is well worth owning."

"Man, I would have done ANYTHING to have this when I was a kid trying (and mostly failing) to play guitar. No more searching all over the world for sheet music--this site actually LISTENS to the song you want to learn to play and tells you the chords for guitar, piano, or ukelele. (Ukelele? Really?)"

"If you learn better through a tab instead of sheet music, this website is the go to for you. They have pretty much any song you can think of and personally, I love using this website as a place to look for my tabs. It is much easier than just googling and trying to find a random one that works for me. If you love tabs, you'll love this website period."

"Guitar Tab Universe appears to be a good site if you want a variety of chords but it doesn't tell you much how to use them. A beginner might be baffled when he or she gets there as there seems to be no instructions at all. Probably good for the expert, but novices may want to check somewhere else."

"Guitarist Source isn't bad. There is a lot of information there as well as lessons. It may work for some people but I need something a little more structured and sequential. And it's just a minor pet peeve but Guitarist Source looks and responds like it was made 20 years ago and not updated. A minor quibble."
