"Well, this certainly does offer up a solution to the problem of "resources for low-cost traveling." However, for safety reasons, I don't think it's something I would personally partake in. I did read their "Safety Basics" page and I found it to be a little lacking. Although they do state that they take the users' safety seriously, they also pretty much say that the safety of the user is the user's responsibility."

"I use Kayak since many years to check the price of flights when I need to book one, and I'm happy they finally released also an app for Android. It works great, and it allows me to check the price of a flight in just few clicks, I recommend it to everyone!"

"When I was traveling, I needed to know about some ideas about low cost traveling. I was on a budget and knowing some of of the tools of the trade on travel really helps. I found this article about using foreign ATMs. The information helped, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for."

"I was in Dallas and my flight was canceled last minute. I was afraid I was going to have to stay at the horrible looking hotel next to the airport, but because of HotelTonight I got a room at a super upscale hotel and got to pamper myself instead. Made the whole thing not so bad."

"I have always wanted to visit Japan but not in a way a normal tourist would. I want to stay for at least three months and visit multiple of cities and prefectures. This Wikitravel site is perfect. The issue I have is that I could not afford a stay that long but this Wikitravel site showed me places I could visit for free as well as getting discounts on certain areas. It also showed me some palaces to get a room cheap something that was an issue for me before finding this site. I would love to recommend this to others as well that are looking to travel but are having issues planning for hotels or other accommodations."

"This site gives you many pointers on how to use and exchange cash and credit cards overseas so that you spend the least on fees, which can be exorbitant. It also gives you the skinny on exchange rates and how to avoid getting taken. The overall site is the well-known (from travel books) Fodor's. It has extensive information for all your travel needs but the outside advertising on the site was annoying and intrusive in that it exhibited some seizure-inducing flashing and made the page jump around as I tried to scroll. I have to take off points for that."

The author had a few neat ways to not have to pay the ridiculous fees they charge overseas to with draw money. I found yet another way to save thanks to the video."

"I placed and ad for a house sitter to look after our home and our two Maltese dogs, one of which isn't in the best of health. Within 24 hours I received two requests and one lady we have agreed up. After a long conversation by phone, we know that she is ideally suited to our family needs and very excited that we have peace of mind when away. I was a little reluctant to use an on line service but being able to look at references and speak to the proposed house sitter was wonderful. What a user friendly site."

"I don't know what type of trading the person who produced this useful video on avoiding bank fees while traveling does, but he does seem to have his facts straight. Young and hip, and not too annoying just to get eyeballs to click, I got some good information and tips from watching this relatively short video. It's a good, quick solution to learn how to reduce my cost of travelling."

"This website is helpful for some people, but not necessarily what I was looking for. If you have a group of people, this might be a good solution, but there is a sort of requirement as to how many people you have to have before they start really giving you any sort of deal. So for myself it was not that useful, as I was looking for more of a smaller family vacation, but if you maybe get two families together it could be good."

"Some days you're ready for a useful video on financial travelling tips from someone called "Psycho Traveller," and some days you aren't. I suppose you have to be a little out there to get "eyeballs" and make that cash on views. I almost punted not very far in, but darn it, I was getting some useful tips, so I kept on going. You probably will as well."

"I am so not ever using Google Flights when I'm in the market for low-cost travel. It's convenient in that you can just Google an airline and it pops up there on top of your search results, no extra navigation to another site needed, but it does NOT find you the best deal by any stretch. I compared prices for one particular flight and found that Google didn't show all the options, which range wildly in price. If I had booked through Google Flights, I would have paid twice what it costs by going directly to the carrier's site. Google, you have a lot of work to do on this particular feature! Not recommended."

"There was a week where I needed to get a away and decided that maybe traveling overseas to Japan would be my best bet. Sure, that is drastic and a little spur of the moment but I got a great deal on a flight and needed the time away. I thought that since I didn't have a ton of money, I would find the best ways to have low cost traveling to Japan, and found a lot of great articles on traveling for cheap. The article about avoiding bank fees was a good refresher ATMs in other countries and avoiding fees."

"Travelocity is something I have used personally for years! its a hassle when you travel to find good deals, then you have to go book a hotel it can be a real hasle! travlocity makes this much easier, it searches a ton of sites for you and sorts them by best deal, and its simple to use! you just enter where your going and when and for how many people and you can even select if you want to fly first class coach or econmy, it gives you price per person and it gives you even get discounts! My favorite part of it however is it lets you read user reviews, to me this is the most important part, that way you can know what your getting into before forking out all that cash!"

"Bidtotrip is a sub standard to other sites that do the exact same thing only better. Bidtotrip does not have the major companies and resources of the better know travel sites and is simply trying to get their piece of the pie in the travel market. Save your time and use one of the well known sites."
