"Love this app! Not just for rap, but for everything. Making playlists is easy, and the search interface is good. I prefer it to iTunes. Of course it is much better if you have Music unlimited rather than just the free stuff on Prime, but at 8 bucks a month, this is still the best imo."

"Apple music is a very good app. It allows you to search for artists or songs or related music so that you may find your favorite songs or new music that is similar to an artist or a song. It also allows you to easily browse through thousands of songs at your leisure."

"I was having trouble finding recommendations for new music to listen to so I got Spotify. I listened to a couple of albums by artists that I like, and then looked at recommended artists. I had never heard of most of them, and while some of them weren't very interesting to me, many of them were really good."

Did you know that 2018 is perceived to be the Renaissance of boy bands? Simply defined as a vocal group that is composed of young male singers, boy band is making a huge come back this year according to an entertainment article posted on Time. While 2017 music chart was greatly dominated by pop and hip-hop artists like the award-winning Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Kendrick Lamar, 2018 is predicted to be a triumphant musical era for boy bands. While the Backstreet Boys and the ‘N Sync remain classic, a new wave of boy group is anticipated to rise such as Why Don’t We, Pretty Much, and BTS, just to name a few. Next on the list of the anticipated trends is the takeover of traditional Latin musical styles. Following the success of Despacito by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee in 2017 when it globally dominated the music charts, experts say Latin hit music is still in the groove this year. Yet another trend is the Korean movement as the Korean Pop Music (also known as K-Pop) is rapidly growing becoming a worldwide phenomenon. K-Pop’s growing popularity started when Psy released the song Gangnam Style in the United States in 2012. According to experts, Americans welcomed the genre because elements of American pop, hip-hop, and R&B are incorporated within K-Pop.

"Soundcloud has an easy to use interface that makes browsing for new artists in well-loved genres easy and fun. By searching for either a particular artist or a genre, you will be given several options to listen to. I was able to find some great bluegrass music using Soundcloud's search feature."

"I really enjoy listening to new music. I sometimes don't know where to go to find new artist or see whats trendy. Bandcamp lets me do both of those things. I have the ability to check out new artist, listen to songs, and read up on bands. It definitely is something I use all the time and recommend it to all my music buff friends."

"Using twitter to look for new music works out okay, I guess, but I'd probably use something else in the future. Most of the time if I find a new band on Twitter, it's because an artist that I already listen to tweets about them or re-tweets them, and a lot of the artists I follow don't usually do that kind of thing. It's great for keeping up with people you're already a fan of, though."

"This is a pretty good app for finding new music. It tracks your preferences and suggests new music that is similar to what you already like. Occasionally the suggestions are bad, but that's to be expected since musical tastes are subjective. I've discovered a few new bands I want to follow already, so overall this app has satisfied me."

"I get sick of listening to the radio and hearing the same songs over and over. I recently started using mixcloud and have been able to find new artists that I enjoy. I am able to listen to a large selection of radio programs and DJ mixes wherever I go."

"Whenever my music playlists become stale, I find my way over to last.fm to find new artists and see what other people with similar musical taste to me are listening to right now. It is easy to find people that are listening to music that I'm already listening to and see artists that I've never heard of or never given enough attention to. By connecting the accounts where you already listen to music you can provide more information on artists that are linked, all by listening to the bands you already enjoy! Try last.fm to help others find new music, but mostly to use the power of crowds to find music you would enjoy as well."

"What can I say? Shazam has always been there for me when I needed to find out what a song on the radio is. It's easy to use (believe me, if even I can use it), and I have yet to have it ever not get a song correct on the first try. I highly recommend Shazam."

"I've had a few relationships that took a downward spiral after a long car trip where we got to know each other's music tastes. Too many Gomezette's and Beliebers were in my dating life before I found Tastebuds. Dating and music squished together? YES PLEASE!!!!! You've saved me from another nightmare road trip for sure!"

"I have paroozed Daily Music on occasion to discover new music, however, I am more drawn to oldies such as Guns & Roses, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, etc. For this reason it is difficult to find necessarily "New Music" however for current music this is a great resource."

"OMG, I haven't been able to find Swedish indie pop music outside of the cds I brought back from my last trip. I'm so excited! I can't believed it. I wish there was a wider variety of bands, but hell, I'm just happy this exists."
