"Katniss rules! This book has many plots and subplots as the candidates struggle to survive. Sometimes cooperating and other times plotting to take each other out. No one wanted to be involved to start with, but now survival is crucial."

"I need to figure out which books are best to encourage imagination in my daughter, but a website like Amazon.com is too confusing to provide conclusive evidence for my search. While Amazon.com does offer interesting information about the book as well as an easy solution to buying needs, it doesn't necessarily give any indication that "A Wrinkle in Time" is a better book than any other science fiction piece featuring strong female characters. I need to decide which books are the best books to give to my daughter to encourage her to grow up to be strong and creative. Reviews on the site seem a bit skewed in such a way that I'm encouraged to buy books that I probably wouldn't otherwise. I need a site that gives me more comparative information."

"A wonderful story with an unusual heroine, this one is good for younger and older readers alike. The beginning of a trilogy this book will pull you into it's world of characters and places."

"I loved this follow-up book to the first in the series. Following Katness on her next adventure in the Hunger Games was exciting and kept my interest throughout the book. A very well developed plot and characters."

"Graceling is a great recommendation for the search of the best sci-fi and fantasy books with strong female characters. There are 4.3 out of 5 stars with 1,551 customers reviews that make this a solid runner for "best of" According to the summary the lead character is female in a fantasy book which meets all bu tone item that was sci-fi but would still be a solid recommendation."

"As a woman I love reading about strong women. Sci-fi/Fantasy is one of my favorite genres but there's really a lack of strong female characters in that genre. I recently read "Alanna: The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness)" which does in fact have one of the strongest female leads that I've read about in quite a while. I was really impressed with all of her actions and loved the whole thing!"

"This book came into my possession after a friend recommended it to me. The plotline can be a little slow at times in my opinion. It has some good lore but if you really want a better backstory on the main characters, I would check out the Paizo website. It will offer more insight by way of short stories. I would suggest this for fans of fantasy and particularly fans of Golarian. However, I wasn't able to find a strong female character in this book."

""Voice of Mars" is a real gem for science fiction and fantasy readers. Unfortunately, it doesn't get the praise and popularity it deserves but that fact should not deter the potential readers because the story is truly interesting and worth your time. The only thing wrong about this solution is the fact that this is the third book of the series and one should start from the book one."

"I was disappointed in the description in the ending because I was hoping it would be more like the movie. I didn't feel anything new was added into the book, which was disappointing. I feel it was an unconvincing novelization at best."
