"My mom loves nonfiction and enjoys reading about politics. She has a few books published by Oxford and I wanted to get her a new one for her upcoming birthday. I saw this one online and thought it looked interesting and took a chance on it. Unfortunately, my mom didn't enjoy the book and said it was quite boring. She only read a few pages and was done with it. I definitely regret buying this book. I wouldn't recommend it!"

"This short book, roughly 100 pages, is an excellent tool for giving a rundown of anglo-saxon era history. It would be perfect for use in a high school or college history course. A quick historical introduction that provides readers with all the information that they need to pursue deeper knowledge if they so desire."
