"Nike has so many colors to choose from - not just very bright or dark colors. They have so much variety, I had trouble choosing just one."

"I am a big snowboarder so I wanted an app to help track my progress. Trace Snow is pretty great for this purpose. You can track how you are doing across a span of time, such as a season, and compare your times/speed/distance to friends as well. This is the official app of some snow resorts so if you visit those you can get special notifications and rewards as well!"

"This is a really great app to use if you ski a lot out west. It's really fun to see how many miles I've skied over the last week. It's also fun to use to 'race' your friends and see who gets the best time down a particular run! My only problem is that in some areas, the gps on the app doesn't seem to work very well, but that could just be my phone service."

"SnowEdge is one of the best snowboarding apps for iphone. If you are looking for an app to help you track your skiing over the season than you don't have to look any further. This app will rate your skiing/riding skills, track your runs, and show your progress. It will also monitor your speed, acceleration and air time. You can see your actual ski time and total distance. I mean, does it really get any better than this? This app is really well done and easy to use."

"I was really disappointed in this app and its usefulness in getting ski conditions. Too many of the mountains aren't updated regularly and the actual interface is a bit of a mess. I was extremely excited when I saw what this app promised to do but it just doesn't deliver. I guess I'll go back to checking mountain websites and listening to the radio for ski reports."

"Jollyturns Ski & Snowboarding is a free app from itunes that lets you get updates from ski resorts. You get 1 resort for free, but if you want more you have to buy them as an in app purchase. It only has 11 ratings but they are all 5 stars. It will be interesting to see if that rating holds up over time. I would say it does fit the topic."

"When I get on the half-pipe and notice I'm making mistakes, I like to be able to later look at my mistakes and analyze them so that I can work on my skills. That's here Hudl Technique comes in. It has helped my improve my form and technique by allowing me to record myself and then playback my video in HD slow motion so that I can analyze what needs to be fixed. This will take your snowboarding to a whole new level."
