"Darkwood is a game that scratched the itch I was having for a survival game. It blends a dark atmosphere with roguelike mechanics seen in much earlier RPG games."

"This game is fairly basic in it's design and screening but it provides the gamer with an interesting series of scenarios that will test their skills and decision making process. Looks like a fun, basic gaming solution."

"I got early access to Conan Exiles. I thought it was just a first person shooter with swords. Oh I was wrong! This is an entire world you can conquer and build an empire. Well if you can survive. Want to build a castle? Want to slice your enemies into tiny tiny pieces? Get Conan Exiles!"

"Don't Starve Together is a survival game for PC. I suppose it solves the problem if it was a problem. Before you can say it's a problem, you need to say how it's a problem. Left 4 Dead solves it, in a way, similarly does every other zombie survival game. From the looks of it, I would reword it to solve the problem of the lack of "wilderness survival games for PC.""

The game has some interesting features that many will find challenging and interesting. This website fully explains the features, functions and conditions of its current state of development."

"After looking around Steam for a decent survival game, I came across Miasmata. It gave me a lot of what I had been looking for, crafting, hunting, camping. The Typical things you'd expect when trying to survive in the wilderness."

"I absolutely loved State of Decay on Steam. I play games on a PC and State of Decay has to be one of the best survival games on the market. Steam provides this online co-op, letting up to four players join to romp around the end of human civilisation and have a lot of fun with zombies. The graphics are excellent and there is a good time for all."

"Project Zomboid is a game with an interesting concept. You interact with zombies in a 3D atmosphere, like an RPG game, yet this has a new idea with features not seen for a survival game, such as a generally light demenor. It's worth a try!"

My son enjoyed playing this game as he engaged in mind boggling and mind blowing ways to stay alive amidst the zombies. The feature that enables you to mark a location on the map for your friends and show it on the compass is awesome."

""How to Survive" is definitely a game worth playing if you are a fan of survival RPGs or RPGs in general. The game is jam packed with excitement at every corner because you never know when you will run out of essential supplies necessary for your survival all while encountering endless hordes of zombies. I have personally put countless hours into the game and I am sure you will too as the games is easy to pick up."

"If you liked the original Resident Evil, then you'll love revisiting the remastered version. You forget how far they've come with this stuff, but the HD version is definitely a step up from the original, the game comes to life a bit more than before. Still probably the best survival game ever created."

"I really wanted a survival game that was more then zombies, hunting deer and building bunkers. Searching though tags on steam for a bit I ran across this gem. It might not look like much but it's definitely a survival game to its core and gave me a nice solo experience that might actually have me returning in the future to play again."

"Beautiful and atmospheric. Also, will scare you out of your gourd if you play it at night in an empty house, like I did the night I downloaded it. I know some people are complaining about bugs but I didn't have any problem and I really enjoyed the ride. I'm a sucker for that kind of game and I'm not too fussy about the interface and the mechanisms, as long as I'm enjoying myself and the story is working for me I'm happy. I consider it a good buy."

"There are a lot of different types of Survival games, some are about hunting and living off the land. Amnesia twists the idea and makes you the hunted forcing you into a unique role fighting for survival. It definitely provided a lot of mechanics was hoping for and the dark atmosphere really got my adrenaline rushing."

"10 years later is an interesting survival game. The first person nature of the game and not needing to join a group means many hours of interesting travel through the world, without having to make sure that I have my "posse" around. It is a big world with an interesting story, providing me with deep thoughts in my effort to survive!"

"Another perfect horror game. In fact, this is one of the few games that gave me bona fide nightmares: I love it! Despite being an older game, the graphics are top notch... you can almost taste the iron in the pools of blood. And, because you're just a reporter, you don't have any bad-ass skillset; you can't just fight your way through. Instead, you've got to slink around, and hope nothing kills you too soon. This is just a brilliant game; I think I've freaked out some of my friends by how much I enjoy it. It's no coincidence it's set in Colorado, is all I'm saying..."

"I consider these sci-fi horror games to be training for the coming zombie apocalypse and maybe an alien invasion coupled with some run amok AI just to keep things moving! This one is really trippy. bottom of the ocean research base where things have gone horribly awry. A wild ride."

"Since Halloween is just around the corner, I wanted to find a good survival game on PC. It seems around this time every year I get the urge to play anything that has a horror theme. I found Penumbra: Black Plague Gold Edition on Steam for sale so I decided to give it a try. The game is okay and has a good storyline. The only drawback is the graphics, which are outdated."

"What can I say about the survival game Rust? This game is a great indication of what might happen if the world went into anarchy. I found the gaming community in Rust to be completely cancerous. People will befriend you just to know when you are offline just to steal your stuff. There is no real reason to try to progress in this game at all."

"This game is a toss-up, it's has many great elements and can be a lot of fun to play. It's also very hard, lacks a good tutorial, and really designed for hardcore players so not everyone will enjoy it. Do a little research before you dive into this one but if for those that hit the mark you'll love this game!"

"In my opinion, it takes a lot for a survival, roguelike, crafting game to make it on Steam. So when one does, you should definitely check it out. In this overcrowded genre, The Flame in the Flood stands out with a unique aesthetic and well-designed gameplay. I never got tired of its essential gameplay loop in dozens of hours. It's not for everyone - it's challenginga nd unforgiving - but if this is your genre, don't pass this one up."
